Hamad \u00e8 intervenuto al congresso di Sorrento con una relazione sullo stato dei bisogni di riabilitazione del popolo siriano nei campi profughi. Il comitato del WHO sta cercando di organizzare attivit\u00e0 di aiuto per la situazione.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"center\">Pubblichiamo volentieri questo contributo chiedendo ai colleghi italiani che vogliono saperne di pi\u00f9 o che fossero disponibili a partecipare ad eventuali missioni di contattarmi.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"center\"><a href=\"mailto:germanopestelli@email.it\">germanopestelli@email.it<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"center\"><strong>Rehabilitation for the Syrian victims<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><em><!--more--><\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">\u00a0<strong>Purpose\u00a0<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">\u00a0 To find the best method to rehabilitate the casualties of the Syrian crisis, by taking opinions, suggestions and support from the Cooperation committees.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><strong>Introduction :\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">\u00a0\u00a0Syria is located geographically in the heart of three continents ( Asia, Europe and Africa).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Historically it is\u00a0 a very ancient country, you can find archeology aged more than 10000 years.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">\u00a0\u00a0 Population, more than 23 million from a wide variety of ethnic, religious and Cults groups make a mosaic and live in a civilized and social harmony for many many ages.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">\u00a0<strong>What is going on:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">\u00a0\u00a0 Since \u00a0March 2011 and the Syrian people have been suffering after the uprising which started in a peaceful and civilized way what so called Arab\u00a0spring\u00a0, like other countries ( Egypt, Tunisia and Libya ).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">\u00a0 As a response from the security forces many thousands of them were killed by shooting or bombing , others were injured,\u00a0and more than million became homeless .<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><strong>\u00a0Medical Care:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">\u00a0\u00a0 From the medical care stand-point, there are many medical organizations and associations but the main and the most recognized body is Syrian Expatriate Medical Association (SEMA) . SEMA is a non-governmental ,non-profit and ,non-political organization, was established by Syrian doctors and other health professionals to help their people inside and outside Syria.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><strong>Rehabilitation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">\u00a0 Many projects have started but none of them is clearly devoted for Rehabilitation. The medical care focuses on saving life and treating the acute conditions hence minimal\u00a0effort is being provided to the medical rehabilitation , as others think it can wait till \u00a0the situation is settled down, \u00a0which is incorrect from Rehabilitation Medicine perception<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Major Impairments<\/span> and diagnoses lead to disability and need rehabilitation.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Amputations<\/li>\n<li>Spinal Cord Injury ( SCI ) including tetra- and paraplegics.<\/li>\n<li>Traumatic Bain Injury<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">\u00a0\u00a0 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Current Situation\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">The disabled are located in different locations, the main areas are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inside Syria<\/li>\n<li>The Syrian \u00a0refugee camps in Turkey<\/li>\n<li>The Syrian refugee camps in Jordan\u00a0.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">\u00a0The catastrophe was beyond the capabilities of the Syrian community so they sought help and support from other humanitarian organizations.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Based on that I have started ,on behalf of SEMA, to contact the international concern organizations seeking their advise, help and support in all aspects.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><em>By<\/em>,<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Abdulhamid Hamad, MD,PMR,<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><em>SEMA member<\/em>,<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\">Head committee for Rehab.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><a href=\"mailto:Sema.rehab@gmail.com\">Sema.rehab@gmail.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\"><a href=\"mailto:hakhamad@yahoo.com\">hakhamad@yahoo.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Il Dott.
